This course will, therefore, focus on building the mathematical and conceptual framework needed to understand and tackle the General Theory of Relativity.

Prelusive Natural Philosophy PNP01/2021

Prelusive Natural Philosophy PNP01/2021 is intended to introduce newcomers into the mentality and thought-process of a seasoned Physicist. While the study of Physics is extremely vast with specialized field worthy of study on its own, there are common ways physicists approach these fields. In this PNP01/2021 course, we will look at these approaches from a "birds-eye view", but also dive into selected topics that are of particular importance to Physicists. Beginning with foundational concepts such as methods of proofs, intuition and principles of calculus, complex numbers, and then moving to gradually difficult topics such as multivariable calculus, differential equations, statistical techniques, and ending with a broad overview of Classical Mechanics and Electromagnetism -- this course will provide a solid foundation for any aspiring physicists, who will then be ready to explore the fundamental fields of Physics.

Maturing over more than two centuries, the classical theory of electromagnetism portrays fundamental interactions between fields and charged matters and help enhance our understanding of Nature. The course, 'Classical Electromagnetism EM01/2020', offered by CP includes all the aspects of this elegant field theory from static fields to dynamic fields. Followers will learn and feel the physics of electromagnetism which is found almost everywhere, whether it is the reflection on the soap bubble or the cosmic microwave background.
