1st Workshop on Relativity: The Speed of Light is the Limit

The theory of relativity is certainly one of the most important cornerstones of modern physics. The theory is well-established through many profound experiments and is central to our understanding of many areas of astrophysics, cosmology and particle physics.

Relativity is the theory of how different observers, moving at constant velocity with respect to one another, report their experience of the same physical event. This description is completely accurate, but it conceals the fact that special relativity radically altered physicists’ conceptions of space and time. It also obscures the deep connection between special relativity and electromagnetism.

To explore this fascinating realm, the Community of Physics is going to organize "1st Workshop on Relativity: The Speed of Light is the Limit". It will be a five-day workshop and will be held in Chittagong. The tentative starting date of the workshop is December 06, 2016 and the venue is not fixed yet. The date and the venue will be updated as soon as they are confirmed.

The workshop is meant for the University students, but 11th and 12th grade students with a bit of knowledge of classical mechanics and electromagnetism are also allowed. Online registration is going on. To register for the workshop, please, fill-up the registration form. And yes, it is totally free of cost, just like all of our other workshops.
